What do you celebrate during the winter holidays?

We celebrate the non-religious aspect of Christmas. And also Yule.

New year and Christmas

 

It may well be winter for you folks up in the Northern Hemisphere, for us this time of the year brings summer and all that goes with it. So far its turning out to be hotter than usual, or at least hotter than it has been the last few summers. If we have time off, it'll be either at the beach, or finding shelter from the heat in the malls.

 

Hey, yeah, I live in North Carolina, US and the summer this year had with it some extremes I'd not seen here. Stay cool! Right now, we're experiencing the opposite. It was 1 degree Fahrenheit a day or two ago. I grew up in Alabama (closer to the equator) and then moved the family here, so I had never experienced such a chill where I actually lived! It's wild.

Right now, I'm celebrating my birthday by treating myself to Starbucks and chilling out on my own. I would've gone to a local coffee shop, but it was full today! wow...

 

I celebrate a present exchange around Christmas time even though Im not Christian.
