Surface Tension is an AU X-men movieverse board that is looking for advanced players.  

Ever asked What if? What if things happened differently in the movies? 

 

Ever asked What next? What happens next, as the movie ends?

 

Surface tension aims to answer these questions.... and create more through intricate stories created and told by our players. 

 

The cure didn't last forever. Slowly the mutants who had been cured's powers returned to them. Some scientists search for another solution for the "mutant problem" and there are factions all over the argument ready to do something. Needless to say, tension is high. Humans’ mistrust of mutants has grown, now that they’d seen the true destructive power of these people. The X-Men know it’s only a matter of time before the Brotherhood acts again, and the Brotherhood knows it’s only a matter of time before normal humans come up with a new way of trying to suppress their kind. Morlocks try more and more to stay out of the greatly escalating situation. 

 

And now, to top it all off, recently Emma Frost, White Queen of the Hellfire Club, moved her own school for mutants from Massachusetts in order to bring it closer to the Hellfire Club headquarters in New York City, which she intended for her students to one day join. Now renamed the Frost Preparatory Academy, it now rests just south of Bedford, New York, which is, in fact, not far from Xavier’s. 

 

The water may seem still, but just one drop breaking the surface tension could cause a tidal wave.
