The year is 2212, and the human race has just broken out of their pitiful little universe.  But were they ready?  A vital secret had been given to them before their time: Displacement.  Instantaneous travel that could warp reality just enough to send a ship from one end of the galaxy to the next.  Humanity had a very short time to learn everything about the universe they had just prematurely jumped into.

 

They had to know and understand alien races, strange new factions and governments, and a ‘Universal Rule’.  The third of which was the most important.  An anonymous threat has been made against the ruling government of the universe, the Intergalactic Union.  Formerly, the Intergalactic Union was the only political power, but due to this threat, mistrust and disagreements have driven a rift through this formerly unified structure.  There are differing opinions on how to deal with this threat, so the Independent Federation of Imperium, and the Protectorate Coalition of Worlds have broken off to deal with this threat as they see fit.

 

To keep peace between these factions, the Intergalactic Union has set up an academy to train and shape the minds of the greatest soldiers, medics, and nearly every other profession that could possibly benefit the war efforts.  Denying attendance to Suraci Training Academy is a criminal offense.  Every race must contribute their best.  This is the Universal Rule.  While the factions are fighting each other so viciously, nearly all attention has turned to the current war instead of the upcoming threat.  Will they be able to rally together in time to face this danger, or will the galaxy and its inhabitants be defeated and cease to exist?

 

Just what can you expect at Suraci (hosted on ProBoards.com)?  You can expect a great plot, active roleplay threads in many different areas including the academy and the war, and a friendly community.  But there are also many ways for members to contribute to the forum as well!  All members can pitch subplots, create aliens and worlds, as well as to claim high ranks for your characters.
