Although our Halloween is coming to a close in the next week, we'll have a brand new and exciting event in December, so please look out for that. We also have several requests wide open, so if you need an idea on a character for the site, check out the requests forum!
There's been some exciting activity in the human realm this past month, with several groups heading out on missions all across the world to stop an expanding cambion ring in its tracks. Our characters are getting into a lot of trouble trying to solve the problem, however, and with murder on the streets, it's only a matter of time before they're caught--or worse. With an influx of new characters, there have also been numerous requests for characters and plots to go with them. If you're interested, now is the time to take a look. As promised, there's a big event coming up in December, so keep your eyes peeled for that. We're also taking submissions for our first year anniversary in January, so if you join and quickly accumulate favorites (favorite characters, couples, plots), then feel free to add your submissions to the mix as well! We also have a new status update system in our portal and cambions are now open for play once more.
The big December event has started and it's gathered a lot of interest, with already over ten threads in it! We're still accepting submissions for our anniversary event next month as well. Remember, even new members can take place in the celebrations, so feel free to join us! We have also added in a one click thread tracker which is pretty handy to have around if you're like me and like to keep things organized but also happen to be very lazy.
Been a while since I updated this but as we move into May, a lot of exciting new plot points will be introduced. Now that one of Somnia Institute's administrative members has been assassinated, those who supported his bills to clean the streets of gang related crime are stepping up. They're clashing with those who opposed him as well as the gangs themselves. Meanwhile, an interesting development regarding cambions will be announced soon...
My new baby, WILEY needs some connections! All right, so the first thing I want to explain is, Wiley is Fallen, which you can read more about HERE. The Null group is actually for more than just the Fallen, as it includes anybody who lives in the Null. That would include human slaves living in the cambion colony, for example. However, all free characters would be CAMBION or Fallen cambion. I would definitely recommend giving some of the informational topics in the top links a look through, too, if you're really interested in the setting as a whole! The most important to these roles would be the two I linked, though. ANYWAY! Onto the connections I had in mind. To get to know Wiley a little more, I posted a little one-shot HERE that includes the two characters I want in Wiley's life. Tristan is a young man, likely about 20-25 years old. He is competitive to a fault and given to jealousy. His favorite pastime is chess and he delights in being the best... Except every time he plays Wiley, he gets so frustrated and loses his cool that he ends up getting beat by Wiley. Tristan has a pretty high IQ and loves intellectual and mentally stimulating hobbies, like studying philosophy and devouring books by the hour. I have no care at all for his playby as long as he can pass for somewhere between 20-25. He can be of any cultural background and you can decide what brought him to the Null in the first place and how he was attacked and became a Fallen and what his Fallen form is like. He can also have a real name, since most people in the Null go by names they gave themselves. Leelee is a young girl of about 13-14 years old. She is just hitting puberty and all the not so wonderful things that means for a cambion her age, so she's probably pretty confused about a lot of things. I imagine she has a huge crush on Wiley, who treats her like a little sister (and only sees her as one). I imagine she's fairly childish and given to swinging from one extreme mood to another, so when another character (Blue) is introduced to the plot as Wiley's love interest, she'll take huge exception to him being in "her" Wiley's life. She's kinda clingy and has some serious abandonment issues because not only was she shunned in the dream realm, when she was taken to the Null, she was soon attacked and became a Fallen, where she was shunned even from the cambions that took her in. So she is fiercely loyal to Wiley and whomever else in the Fallen community has shown her any kindness. She lives with Wiley, who protects her and keeps her safe when she shifts. As it was with Tristan, she can come from pretty much any background (as long as you include the elements I mentioned above) and her playby can be anybody, as long as she can pass for 13-14 years old. She can also have a real name, as Leelee is a nickname given to her by Wiley. Her Fallen form can also be chosen by the player.
I'm looking for a character to possibly become close to my character, Nam Chaeku. Chaeku is a cheerful healer who works in Somnia's infirmary. He loves the color yellow, birds are his favorite animal, and he opens every day by reading the comics in the newspaper. He's a little childish but he has a serious side not often seen by others. The plot: I was thinking Chaeku gets a patient (male, female, it doesn't matter to me) that he ends up developing feelings for. Chaeku has loved both males and females, which is why I'm not particularly picky. Chaeku easily falls in love and has a habit of looking past a person's shields and identifying the vulnerable inside. So if the character has something of a hard shell, he might crack it. So ideally, the patient would normally be the reserved type but perhaps suffered a breakdown. Perhaps they are brand new to Nyxis (the name of the city in the dream world) and they were just recently attacked by a Nightmare (you can pick which one.) It would be interesting to see a character who is generally harsh and cold begrudgingly open up to Chaeku. He's the type who doesn't care if he's insulted and will still hug them and chatter about stupid things.
A recent new video game released at the beginning of this year has gamers from all over Nyxis flocking to play. The video game, which is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) is set in a fantasy land called Sedna, where players can choose a character from several different classes to explore, fight monsters, interact with other players, and more. The open-ended plot of the game, which involves taking on jobs, fighting monsters against one another, and joining guilds, is said to be a large part of the draw.
