  1. 'ello. Like many of the new(er) members that have joined (today), I am part of Idle Omens and one of the older members of our troupe. Though I know we, as a journal-based RP group have other mediums to advertise, we are trying to reach as many people as possible.

That said, I typically play drow characters. My current is a drow psionist and a member of an order that is based loosely on the Templars from Dragon Age.

    Hiya Disdain! Welcome to fix!

O-o where do you play your Drow? I could use one :donate::game:

  4. I play my drow in the RP my friends have created, Memories of Yesterday. She's a psionic assassin that had long been banished from the world's version of Underdark/Demihuman community. Eliste is one of many characters I have played for Idle Omens over the years.

And thank you for the welcome.

She sounds awesome :) We've created a new RPG based on the Never Winter Nights games. As we've only just started I was surprised by how quickly its taken off ^_^

    my pleasure xd

Also from another new person ... hello! *puts out cookies*

  8. Believe it or not, I have never played any of the source materials for Drow. I am into darker skinned women IRL and just wanted to play such as an elf. xD Our Moderators decided to have me read up on what Drow are, and I found them appealing. Plus, the fact that they exist in other mediums works well within the story of our game.

Oo. Cookie. *offers trade? She has marble cake slices.* And hello to all I may have missed. <_<

Oh boy have you missed some fun :D I played a certain Drow named Nathyrra for ages. She was originally just a Henchman in the game but I made her my character in subsequent fan made games later. She was awesome. Her skin as depicted is almost black and she has white hair.

  10. Unfortunately, I am also not much for video games and premade character plots. Eliste is described exactly like the avatar I use, paler skinned than most of her kind. She's fun to play in scenes, but as our game has just gotten to the point where we're introducing ourselves, its still open to how I am going to finalize her personality.

One of the rules we abide by for using psionics in MoY is that we slowly develop mental degrade, such as madness and psychosis. My friend plays a psionic that has gone past this threshold and barely holds her sanity together.

I gave them up a few years ago. Somewhere between 25 and now I think I must have matured a little ^_^

We have psionic characters, Wraith are one from Stargate. And we have our EL'Dari creations there as well, sort of like LOTR Elves in space

  12. Ah, I see. Not much into science-fiction when it gets into intergalactic stuff, such as BSG or even Star Wars. The fact that our RP has a few automatons that can be considered an android in everything but name is something I barely tolerate. Thankfully, the player of said character makes her fun and has promised that despite her appearance? The character is relatively low-tech.

Guess I'm a little too young to really be into tech-heavy stories. ;) Our moderator, the user behind the Idle Omens name on this website is big on tech things. Him and the other mods. xD

As low-tech as a automaton that has been paradoxed into being by a failed fell angel's attempt to hide his presence from another. Of course, I could simply retcon that now if it really bothers you. No one ever told me it did.
