Hi there! So, first things first, Summers Past is the name of the roleplay board I'll be opening in a little less than a month. My username's actually Ethereal, but you can call me Ether, if you'd like! I've only been roleplaying a total of three years, though it feels like way longer, but during that time I'm pretty sure I've done every form of roleplaying I can think of. I started off, of all things, on a site called Stardoll. I then briefly moved to roleplaying on Facebook, using asterisks and the likes. Then I spent a year on forums, before moving on to Tumblr, then on to roleplaying one-on-one through emails. I'm back to roleplaying on forums, which for me, it's just the better form. I'm terrible at introductions, if you hadn't guessed already. Anyway, it's nice to meet anybody who just so happened to read this!
Welcome! Stardoll sounded so familiar that I had to Google it. Paper dolls are pretty cool! I wrote a programming script a long time ago that essentially creates those. :) When you were roleplaying on Facebook, were you one of the people who created individual accounts for your characters? I missed all that, so I'm not quite sure how it all worked. I'm interested.
I've been on vacation for three weeks, so sorry I didn't reply to this sooner! I used to loooooooove paper dolls, so I still feel nostalgic when I see or read or hear anything about them. On Facebook, I didn't actually have an account. What I did was create a page and then roleplay like that. So, I have two pages for two of my favourite characters, and people were able to post on the page timeline to get a 'thread' going. The issue was I was also dedicated to making these pages act like real pages, so by the time they went about 10k likes, roleplaying was harder. That was when I started creating roleplay only pages. Honestly? I loved it. I'm a big writer and I love to write long posts, but that Facebook roleplaying was so chill and simple. I could just whip out my phone whilst on a break and tap out my replies.
