Guess I should introduce myself. My name's Frost, and I work in microbiology. I've been roleplaying as a hobby for the last 11 years, thereabouts, and I have dabbled in writing from an early age. Most of my RP experience is from tabletop and LARP (live-action roleplay) games which I have both played and GM'd for. My intro to roleplaying was through Vampire the Masquerade, and I still love the World of Darkness to this day. I first got involved in play-by-post RP about four years ago. My genre of choice has got to be urban fantasy/horror, followed closely by sci-fi. I'm a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, as well as all the Gothic horror classics; Dracula, Frankenstein, The Strange Case of Jeckyll and Hyde, and anything in that vein. Among modern writers, I really enjoy Jim Butcher's Dresden Files (though more for the world than the lead characters). My favourite tabletop RPG setting has got to be White Wolf's Scion, since it mashes together cinematic action, religious horror and classical mythology in a way that I really enjoy. I'm currently working on developing a setting called DemiMonde, which is heavily inspired by Scion, along with some elements of Lovecraft and other supernatural settings. At some point I'd like to set up DemiMonde as an online RP, so if anyone here is interested in playing in or helping me develop such a world, then I'd love to know.
Hey there Frost! It looks like we share quite a few favourites. :) So the real question for you is this: what is your favourite VtM clan/bloodline?
Got to be Clan Lasombra. Refined, eloquent, educated...and just waiting to strangle you with your own shadow.
