Reasons to Celebrate!

Does your site celebrate things? A site birthday? The 10th member? A holiday?

How do you celebrate?

Do you usually prefer it all in character or out of character? Both?

 

OOC of course. We celebrate in the C-Box.

 

We've commemorated many a birthday with a banner on the site bragging up how old we're getting (8 years! CoSC is old enough for kindergarden now!) and usually a celebratory conversation. It's never bled IC... though if we hit 10 we just might have to give some sort of reward to the players...

 

A site birthday, writers' birthdays, and other holidays as well.

OOC wishes on writers' birthdays, IC and OOC contests and threads for site's birthday and other holidays... So yes, we prefer both.

 

This is a very interesting idea something none of the sites I have ever been apart of had I may need to do something like this for my own site

 

Usually, I just make a post and folks reply to it.

- Site's anniversary and member of the year.

 

We do all the things! OOC chatter in the cbox and IC mini-events. The more cheer the better. :D

 

OOC, we welcome new members, we celebrate the birthdays of the members who share them.

IC, we usually try to have at least one celebration each year of RP... nothing quite like the drama of a good celebration in a roleplaying situation.

 

We had a really fun group turnout on our board for a "Yule Party" in our AU area, so characters from across the board could all interact together whether or not it's realistic for the site lore. The members are sounding excited for the Valentine's Day themed one we have planned next, and I'm having a blast getting the invitation and opening post ready for it... it's just wacky AU fun and we exaggerate our characters a lot in the AU area.

Of course we've been celebrating all through the holidays in the OOC chat. And if members reveal their birthdays we chat about it all day on the discord and celebrate everyone we get a chance to!
