Hello! I don't know if this is necessarily the right place for this kind of question, but it does say discussion... so here goes. Basically, I've attempted to register for this site (Sinking Lure), and at the moment, I've tried resending and resending and resending the validation email, to three different addresses, but none of them have gone through at all. I do not mean to come off as hostile with all these italicized words or anything, but right now the only thing I can come up with is that the validation system is broken, some how. I would have posted this on the board itself, but I can't view member profiles, so I can't PM anyone, nor can I post in the Help forum either (which seems more geared towards RP questions any how). If you see this, my name on the forum is Cloudzy.
Pinging @Twygg :) @Clooby Just to be 100% certain of the missing mail and to get more info, have you also triple-checked your spam folders? Also, what email domains have you been using? gmail, hotmail, etc.? Some of them can be more finicky than others.
@Iversia I absolutely have triple-checked all of my spam folders. As for what domains I've been using, it goes from two of my gmail accounts, to my outlook account, to my yahoo account.
@Clooby Oh wow! Sorry about never seeing this; I didn't anticipate needing to check this thread. I'm completely embarrassed. We recently had maintenance done with our hosting that changed permissions on some of our settings and we're still trying to find them all. I'll get to looking on my end about it right away. So sorry about this :c Edit: I do see your two validating accounts. Is there one you were prefer? I went ahead and switched permissions for the original account to be absolutely able to post, make topics, and communicate via private messages. I'm hoping that when I correct the root of the problem, we'll see the change in your other validating email and know it's smoothed out. I suspect our spam/bot filter might have something to do with it but I'm not 100% solid until I check through my hosted files. In the mean time, feel free to come over, maybe vent some, and chit chat with us!
