What are some of your favorite books or authors?

Gideon the Ninth is at the top of my to-read list but it wasn't on any of the three library ebook apps I use so I have to actually track down a copy.

My latest read is Binti and Home by Nnedi Okorafor. Pretty good!

Probably my favorite recent reads have been Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie and the Broken Earth trilogy by N. K. Jemisin. I need to pick up Jemisin's new book, The City We Became -- I read the short story she expanded it from and it was great, so I'm pretty excited for the full novel.

My absolute most favourite book of all time ever and I re-read it almost yearly and have for ages is "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein who is also my favourite author.

The Eye of Night- an epic fantasy tale with a priest who abandoned his church, a hunchbacked woman, and a pregnant girl who weave the stories of others into their travels on their way to a great ending.

 

I really loved Perfume by Patrick Süskind. That one is currently my favourite. As a child, I loved to read Ranger's Apprentice and Warrior Cats!

 

Candide (the one by Voltaire) I'm also quite fond of It Devours by Jeffery Cranor and Joseph Fink
