    Hi!

My name's David and I've been into RPGs for about 2 years now, but I've been writing ever since I was a child. My favourite genre is historical, although I've been trying to get into slice of life lately aswell. I'm currently also trying to get a site of my own started.

Apart from writing, I also enjoy history, film, theater, fashion and design, literature, music and videogames. I'm currently in the second year of my undergraduate degree, studying English/German Language and Literature.

Hi David! When you say historical, what aspects of historical games are you drawn to? Is it more alternative history, authentic depictions, etc.? Admittedly, I really like history for the stories, but it's not a genre that I've actively roleplayed in before.

I'm a sucker for historical accuracy, so I enjoy RPs which are as historically accurate as possible the most. That's not to say I don't enjoy a few AU or fandom historical RPs aswell, I just like the authentic thing more. I think it's super interesting to try and navigate my characters' actions in a time I wasn't around for and so have no first-hand experience living in (I hope you know what I mean by this, haha). If you like history, you should definitely try out historical RPGs aswell. Although I do have to say active historical RPGs, and especially ones that aim for historical accuracy (meaning no sci-fi, no magic, no fantasy etc.) are very hard to find, at least in my opinion.

That is actually really cool! Have you also done any sort of LARP/SCA/live-action recreation? I know a few folks that dip into that realm as well, and it's incredible what they research.
